Umpqua Valley Ryder Cup Challenge

Players will receive points for attendance and finishing in the top 5 for each tournament. The top 24 players will be eligible for our Ryder Cup 2 day event (currently October). If a player does not wish to play or cannot play, the next player on the list will be requested. This will continue until the teams are full. A skins game will be in order for any remaining players not participating in the Ryder Cup format. Additionally, in the event that we may secure a Ryder Cup match with another association or golf course, we will then use the top 12 players. If needed we will once again go down the list to fill the team. Team Captains will be drawn from the top 12 players. Captains will choose their players alternately until the teams are filled. 

Points are as follows.

Any UVGA weekend tournament participation = 3 points

A gross or net finish in the top 5

1st = 7 points

2nd = 6 points

3rd = 5 points

4th = 4 points

5th = 3 points

If the event is a two person or more event. All players receive points based on their respective finish. (1st place in a two man = both players will get 7 points)
